REET Full Form: REET stands for Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers. It is an exam conducted by the State Government of Rajasthan in which aspirants qualify for Teaching positions in State Government Schools. REET Full Form, Eligibility and Selection Process

REET Full Form, as you by now already know, is the Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers. The REET Exam is conducted by the Board of Secondary Education of Rajasthan (BSER), Ajmer. The REET exam is conducted to recruit qualified and eligible teachers for Primary State Government Schools for Classes 1 to 8.

The REET exam is only a qualifying exam. Qualifying for the REET exam does not guarantee you a job in State Government Schools. Qualifying for the REET exam simply means that you are now eligible to teach in primary classes of Government Schools. 

As soon as the government schools release vacancies, you will have to apply for them. If you make it through the selection process, you will be able to teach primary school students. Also, after qualifying for REET, the certificate of qualification remains valid for 3 Years. 

There are two levels in REET. Level 1 is for the eligibility of Teachers for classes 1 to 5. Level 2, on the other hand, is for the eligibility of Teachers for classes 6 to 8. A candidate appearing for REET can apply for either Level 1, Level 2 or both Level 1 and Level 2. Qualifications for both Levels are different and are listed below.

Under the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009, notification of the National Council for Teacher Education dated 23 August 2010 (read 29 July 2011) and issued from time to time and currently legally Revised by effective notifications and by Hon’ble High Court and according to the instructions given by the State Government, “Eligibility and minimum marks percentage for appearing in Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test, 2022” will be as follows for different classes.

Minimum Qualifications Required for Teachers of Classes 1 to 5 (Level 1)

Senior Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)

Or 

Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) by the NCTE (Recognition, Norms and Procedure) Regulation, 2002

Or 

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

Or

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

Or

Graduation and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) passed.

Minimum Qualifications Required for Teachers of Classes 6 to 8 (Level 2)

Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) passed or appearing in the final year of this course.

Or 

At least 50% marks either in Graduation or Post Graduation and B.Ed. passed or appearing in the final year of a Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

Or

Graduation with at least 45% marks and 1-year B.Ed. passed, in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition, Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.

Or

Level and Nature of Questions Asked in REET:

Since now you know the REET Full Form and Eligibility, we, in this section, tell you about the nature of the questions asked.

1. Child development and teaching methods question paper about educational psychology related to reading and reading level of children aged 6 to 11 years, various mental levels of students, their needs, interaction with them and qualities and characteristics of a good teacher etc. Questions to test understanding will be asked.
   
2. In the question paper of Language-I, questions will be asked to test the proficiency related to the written language at the time of filling out the application. Which he has shown in the application form.
   
3. Language II must be selected from the language list mentioned in the application form only. Which he/she has indicated in the application form, but this language will be different from the language selected as I. In this paper, questions will be asked to test the general understanding, communication and comprehension ability of Language II.
   
4. In the question papers of Mathematics and Environmental Studies, questions will be asked related to conceptual problem-solving ability and teaching skills of the subject.
   
5. The criteria of 5 multiple choice questions will be based on the complete syllabus and content of the academic session 2021-22 prescribed by the state government from class I to V, but the difficulty level of the questions will be up to secondary (class 10).
   
6. The language medium of the question paper (except for language subjects) will be bilingual in Hindi and English.
