How to Write a Subject Change Application

To change their subject, students are required to write a Subject Change Application to the principal. The application is a formal letter mentioning your name, class, subject chosen, subject you wish to choose, the reason for changing the subject etc. However, writing an application does not guarantee a change of subject as many times the seats in a particular subject might get full. Hence, one must carefully choose the subject on the first go so that no such problem occurs in the future.

Rejection of Subject Change Application Class 11th

As mentioned above, writing a Subject Change Application is no guarantee that your subject will be changed. There have been many cases in which the application has been rejected. The Application can be rejected for a variety of reasons. Some of the reasons are listed below.

1. Your Subject Change Application might be rejected if there are no more seats available in the subject. Usually, the teacher who teaches a subject has a threshold for the number of seats. If the number of applications exceeds the number of seats available, the students are eliminated based on performance in that particular subject.
2. Your Subject Change Application can also be rejected if your performance in the subject is poor. If your marks in prelims or boards of class X are less than the minimum numbers required, your Subject Change Application can be straight away rejected
3. Your Subject Change Application can be rejected if your reason for the subject change is unreasonable and is unable to satisfy the Principal. In other words, if you want to successfully change your subject, you must make sure that your reason(s) listed must be genuine.
